Data Visualization and Transformation Specialist
Summary of the role:
We are looking for a skilled Data Visualisation and Transformation Specialist to turn complex datasets into engaging visualisations and animations. Your work will play a pivotal role in designing solutions, informing stakeholders, guiding decision-making, and advocating for our programs and interventions.
Key responsibilities:
- Transform raw data into meaningful insights using advanced data transformation techniques.
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualisations to communicate health, well-being, and nutrition outcomes.
- Create dynamic data animations and storytelling content for reports, presentations, and campaigns.
- Collaborate with program teams to understand data needs and translate them into actionable visual assets.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with ethical and privacy standards.
- Stay updated on trends and tools in data visualisation, animation, and storytelling.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data transformation, visualisation, and animation (portfolio or examples of work required).
- Proficiency in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, Flourish, or similar platforms.
- Expertise in data animation software such as Adobe After Effects or equivalent.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or JavaScript for data manipulation and visualisation.
- Ability to simplify complex data and tell compelling stories through visuals.
