Actuarial Analyst
Summary of the role:
We are seeking a talented Actuarial Analyst who is passionate about making a difference in the health and well-being of communities. The role would provide you the opportunity to work independently and within a team to develop new solutions and to support our ongoing health and nutrition interventions by providing critical insights, data analysis, and projections to optimise the effectiveness of our programs, ensuring value for money.
Key responsibilities:

- Perform statistical analysis and develop predictive models to assess the outcomes of our interventions.

- Analyse the data on our projects and programs to evaluate their cost-effectiveness and impact.

- Collaborate with projects and programs teams to design financial models for sustainable funding.

- Provide actuarial insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.

- Develop dashboards and reports to present findings to internal and external stakeholders including donors, sponsors, and others.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards in data handling and reporting.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years postgraduation experience in an actuarial or data analysis role (preferably in health or non-profit sectors).

- Strong proficiency in statistical software such as R, Python, SAS, etc.; and data visualisation tools.

- In addition, having the following will be an advantage:

- knowledge of health economics, public health systems, or nutrition programs.
